Simple Sunday: Drawing with Dad

Welcome to Simple Sunday where I link up with Rebecca from Simple as That.

We bought a magna-doodle/book from a local church's garage sale. What a great $2 investment! Since our 21-mo (J) now loves to identify animals, trucks, sun, moon, banana, etc., he loves to see them drawn on the sketch pad. He loves to draw with daddy. After each correct identification of a drawing, J immediately says "bye bye" to it, which means "draw another one!"

Both photos: Canon T1i | Manual | 50mm | ISO 200 | f/5.6 | 1/125 sec | SpeedLite 380EX
Photo note: To capture both hubby and son in-focus, use a larger f-stop (or smaller aperture).

I love the drawing below. I don't know if it's a self-portrait of daddy or a portrait of J. Either way, it's pretty cute!

  2. Doodle boards are a huge hit in this house too. In fact, we've taken them to China when adopting our children. You can never have too many. lol.

  8. I love that J gets "bye bye" ... Gavin says the same thing anytime I've given him the last of a banana, because he knows the peel is going in the trash!

  9. Aww so sweet, we don't get to see daddy front and center too much. Sometimes I think the older toys are still the most interesting.
