Not holding a grudge

After a long walk and playtime outside Sunday afternoon, I kicked my feet up, closed my eyes and (almost) fell asleep after dinner. Even though I was half-sleeping, I heard the hubby and our 19-mo (J) reading Blue Hat Green Hat together. J babbles in "sentences" now and was expressing his concern for the elephant in that book because a similar elephant breaks the clock in this Hickory Dickory Dock video. Oh, how the mind of a 19-mo works! They were having a great time.

Day 1: It's Sunday

Happy 2012 EVERYONE!

Today is Sunday, and guess where we went? To church (Journey's Crossing in Germantown, MD), oh yea. Check that off my NYR list for today :). See my progress on left sidebar. Please don't tell me that going to church shouldn't be an item that one checks off her list because that's bordering legalism because you have to start somewhere right? Plan to fail, fail to plan, you know the ol' adage.

I originally saw this posted here - I know, a gossip-column like website. The description under the video read:

"This video comes courtesy of an honest-to-goodness Mom email forward: It's a middle-aged lady, Tamara Lowe, doing her trademark 'rap,' which is about cramming as many pop culture proper nouns into one singsongy poem as possible."

I thought the rap was about Jesus, not pop culture...
