Especially funny was a few weekends ago. I let J have some mint chocolate ice cream. Of course he loved it -- it's sugary. Well, when we got to the last spoonful, I said, "J, this is the last one okay? No more, okay?" He emphatically nodded his head and savored the last spoonful.
Boy, was I scared to take the plate away…
I took the plate away and stood firm to it being the "last spoonful".
He said, "No more?"We did that about 15 times and then...he moved on. I sure am lucky for the situation to end like that! Sure won't push my luck though because it's certainly not all the time that "last one" is taken so well.
I said, "No more."
"All gone?"
"All gone."
"No more?"
"No more."
...
What conversations have you had with your kids, who may or may not be "speaking"?
