Car seat check
Use SeatCheck.org to find a location near you to have your car seat checked for proper installation. We got ours checked today by a PA State Trooper, and it only took about 5-10 minutes. Alan had installed it correctly, but the trooper just tightened the strap so that the seat doesn't move more than 1 inches to either side.
So, the bags and snacks are packed. We called our dog walker to give her a heads up that we might be needing her services all of a sudden in the near future. The car seat is installed correctly. We received our completion coupon from Babies R Us and spent a boat-load last weekend on diaper genie refills, onesies, caps, mittens, Boppy covers, mattress covers, etc. We placed an order for a new DSLR camera using reward gift cards from credit card use. And our mailman, Buddy, told me to tie a balloon outside our house after our baby's birth because he gives all the new moms on his route teddy bears - how sweet is that? Oh, and I think we've narrowed down our list of names to two top contenders...shhh...we're going to keep it top secret...haha...
Update from the doctor - dilated almost 2 cm but still only 33% effaced. I thought I had a feeling that this week would be the week, but then again, maybe our due date was right on the money and he'll arrive then. Well, whenever he does, it'll be the perfect time!

Labor or not?
Monday morning, 5am, I experienced a series of 3 menstrual-like cramps that lasted about 30 sec and came every 10 min. But then they went away.
Monday afternoon to early evening, I experienced a long series of Braxton-Hicks contractions that lasted 60 sec and came every 5 min. But then they went away too.
Do real contractions feel more like menstrual cramps or Braxton-Hicks? According to WebMD, true contractions are more likely felt starting in the lower back and moving to the front of the abdomen. Well, that wasn't me, so I must have been in false labor yesterday. Nevertheless, I'll tell my doc about the cramps today at my appointment. Hey, maybe it wasn't true labor but still helped me to dilate or efface more.

Big sale at LOFT
I cannot WAIT to go shopping for some "real" clothes again! Though I am realistic about the baby weight and how long I'll have it around before I can fit into my pre-pregnancy clothes.

My brain is shrinking
I just read on whattoexpect.com this morning that:
"Researchers have noted that the brain cell volume of pregnant women actually decreases during the third trimester of pregnancy, only to plump up a few months after delivery."
A sarcastic "great" coming from me now. But the good news is I can take choline to minimize the effects, which should be in my multi-vitamin...or I can steal some Flintstones chewables from A, which has added choline for kids! LOL.

Temporary tattoos
Interesting temporary tattoos you can have printed with your phone number or tattoos that leave a space for you to write it in (http://www.safetytat.com/, 24 for $20). Guess kids would find it fun, up to a certain age, then it'd be kind of embarrassing. They remind of me why we put tags on our house pets.

Week 36, 6 days - 19-22", 6.5 lbs
I am officially "full term" so Baby Ng could arrive any day now. Until then, he'll gain about 1/2 oz a day. I have an appointment with my OB on Friday, so maybe he'll give me some indication when he thinks I might go into labor. I am anxious, excited, and nervous (is that the same as anxious?) all at the same time. I really hope our Babies R Us completion certificate comes in the mail this week. I'm itching to have everything ready for Baby Ng's arrival...

Week 36 - 19-22", 6 lbs
6 lbs?! Whoa! No wonder I waddle and feel pain when he kicks!
We just took this picture the other day. It doesn't look much different from 5 weeks ago, but I sure feel different:
Happy birthday to A last week:
His favorite, UNI (yech!):
